Blessed by the tastes from around the world, we must thank the organic spices of East Asia
to the exotic fruitiness of the Caribbean that has revived London's food culture for the better. #Food #Heritage #StreetFood
From what was a simple steak and kidney pie has now evolved into a sensational chain of flavourful dishes from Thailand, Turkey, Jamaica, China, Spain and many more. Not only has this sparked a new light into the capital’s culture but the diversity of food has spread across the nation! A walk along our high streets will offer everything from Korean noodles to Biriyani to Falafel. Without a doubt, some of this food does originate from chain restaurants but also food shops ran by first – or second-generation immigrant families that have come to Britain and set up shop. It’s so wholesome. It seems to be the further you wander around the city; cuisines become ever more exciting and tempting. This is 100% ideal for the explorer and reformer who aspire for an adventure and want to follow their curiosity about society.
Chen Xiaoxi, an inspiring chef in oriental cuisine, born and bred in London comments on how “British food has never been more interesting. After emigrating from China to the UK, my family opened an Oriental restaurant and business was booming. To this day, their has been a loving community made by just one shop, I'll always love the atmosphere. And, in my opinion, no one seems to embrace the products of the rest of the world than the Brits!”
